I did venture out today, although not at 4am. I got a new phone almost a month ago (after my cat ate two in a row). The guy convinced me to buy the LG Envy. It is the phone that flips up and has the full keyboard in it. That is pretty cool if you test a lot or if the $5 a month email plan worked with Gmail, which it doesn't. Otherwise, I really don't have a whole lot of uses for a full key board. There were also a few design flaws which were really bugging the hell out of me, like this: if you open up the phone for the convience of entering a new contact and then you want to call that contact because you are so excited you added them, so you close the phone and the menu clears out to the default. Urgg... it should stay where you were at, which is how it works in the other direction. The keys on the front were also not working for me. The down scroll was too close to the clear button so I would clear out when I was trying to scroll, which gets really annoying. So... Logan and I travelled to Bangor today so I could return it before my 30 days were up. I was a bit worried because I dropped and it had a dent, but it was doing some other wierd random things, so the decided to say the phone was defective and take it back. So... my choices were the LG Chocolate (which I have wanted since before it came out) and the Samsung SCH-u740. I did like the samsung and in black I thought it looked very grown up and professional. The menus were a pain though and when I asked about the unique hindge, the guy did say they could break if dropped (and I drop my phone all the time!). The screen had the same issues as the Envy though, but even more annoying. You would have it flipped open and you would get a message saying the feature was only available in the other position, so you would close it and reopen it and bam - back to beginning you were thrown. So I ended up with my pretty LG Black Cherry Chocolate. I do not think being pretty is a good reason to pick a cell phone, but so far I love it. I carried it around with my while I was doing laundry and listened to my music. Frivolous for a phone, but a very handy feature. My next phone will be the Prada phone, when I can afford it (it really is a nice phone, very sleek and simple).|
Aww come on, ain't it pretty?
